Kamik Boots: Alborg
Posted by Liz J. on Jul 12th 2017
The Alborg is part of the Kamik Boots Classic collection--and for good reason! The warmest Kamik boot in their men's line, the Alborg is comfortable in temperatures as low as -58°F (-50°C) . How?
Well first, the Alborg boot is made with seam-sealed waterproof construction that makes it practically impenetrable without adding extra weight. While a waterprooof gusset tongue keeps out snow and debris, by specially treating materials and using waterproof tapes and sealants to cover every seam, Kamik Boots keep out snow and moisture. Find out more about how this keeps you warm on our previous blog.
Kamik Boots also use Zylex linings to simultaneously trap body heat and wick moisture away from the foot. This keeps feet warm and dry for the ultimate comfort in even subzero temps. Removable liners can be taken out of the boot after use for speedy overnight drying.

The Alborg uses a removable 9mm Zylextra® Liner, which has four distinct layers to help keep feet warm and dry. In addition to these 4 layers, this Kamik Boot liner is designed with reinforced seams and a heel guard to provide superior durability. Layer 1: Wicks moisture away from the foot - 2 mm of orange colorfast Polyester Layer 2: Traps warm air & conforms to the foot - 5 mm of foam cushioning Layer 3: Traps body heat close to the foot - 1 mm Polyester felt Layer 4: Deflects cold air and allows moisture to escape - 1 mm Thermal foil
And the best part? The Zylextra® Liner is made of 77% Recycled content, so while your boots are protecting you from the environment, you're also protecting the environment from excess waste and pollution!
In addition to the waterproof technology and Zylex lining, the Alborg snow boot for men also features Kamik's SNOWGRIP synthetic Rubber shell and outsole for both rugged traction and futher protection against the elements.
We also have Kamik Boots for Women, boys and girls!
